Reach Security’s $50m+ bet on machine-speed cyber defence

Reach Security’s $50m+ bet on machine-speed cyber defence

Reach Security’s $50m+ bet on machine-speed cyber defence

Reach Security has secured more than $50m in a Series B round led by Top Tier Capital Partners, while unveiling Reach Everywhere, a launch that pushes its security control intelligence into every environment where defensive decisions are made.

Alongside lead investor Top Tier Capital Partners, the round drew backing from Ballistic Ventures, In-Q-Tel, M12, Microsoft’s Venture Fund and existing investors. Reach plans to direct the capital towards product development, broader integration partnerships, expansion overseas and further growth across US enterprise and federal markets.

The raise follows a year in which the firm’s customer count doubled, with Autodesk, Insurity, MPS and Ensemble Health Partners among the businesses using its technology.

The investment lands as attackers gain ground. VulnCheck’s State of Exploitation 1H-2026 report showed that under 1.3% of vulnerabilities are actually exploited in the wild, meaning the real challenge lies in reaction time rather than discovery.

CrowdStrike’s 2026 Global Threat Report recorded an 89% jump in AI-enabled adversary activity, with breakout times falling to as little as 27 seconds, and AI is now linking exploits into previously unseen attack paths.

Reach responds by helping operations teams concentrate only on exposures and misconfigurations that remain genuinely reachable, ignoring those already neutralised by existing tools. Its AI independently reviews and adjusts each control, allowing defences to absorb growing attack volumes without extra staff.

When an adversary, or an AI agent a customer has deployed against its own estate, finds a way in, Reach shuts that route by reconfiguring security products the organisation already owns.

Reach Everywhere carries these insights into exposure management programmes, security operations centres, incident response processes, compliance platforms and frontier AI security environments, using the Reach API, its MCP server and a widening network of technology partners. Teams can therefore reprioritise backlogs and adjust controls inside the tools they already use.

A key early use case supports exposure management teams struggling with vulnerabilities that cannot be patched at the pace AI uncovers them. Reach locates, verifies and continuously tracks compensating controls, confirming they are active, up to date, enforcing policy and positioned in the correct attack path.

Where a change is safe, it routes the fix through ServiceNow, Jira or its own staged automation, testing it in a controlled environment first. An independent ROI study by TAG Infosphere found customers saved over 160 hours each week across control review, posture assessment and incident investigation, alongside a 156% return.

Reach describes itself as the trusted source of truth for enterprise security controls. Its deterministic AI continuously finds, analyses, validates and optimises controls, helping organisations map attack paths, cut risk and demonstrate that protections perform as expected. Through its API and AI-powered MCP server, AI systems can draw on live, validated control health data in place of stale inventories, exports or assumptions.

Reach Security CEO and co-founder Garrett Hamilton said, “What is old is new again in security. AI has given attackers better economics and a lower barrier to entry, but it has also given defenders a chance to use their home field advantage more than ever. Defending at enterprise scale requires an accurate understanding of what your defenses are actually doing. You can’t afford to get that wrong.

“That’s why a source of truth for your security controls matters so much: which ones are reducing exposure, which ones are falling short, and which ones can do more. That clarity is valuable to customers and to our joint integration partners.”

Reach Security co-founder and CTO Colt Blackmore added, “A compensating control that cannot be verified is not a mitigation. It’s an assumption. At human scale, incorrect assumptions create inefficiency. At machine scale, they create risk.

“Whether decisions are made by analysts, automation platforms or AI agents, the underlying truth about security control health must remain consistent, accurate and continuously validated. Our vision is to provide a trusted source of truth for security controls that makes those systems reliable, effective and safe to operate.”
