AI computer vision startup Suspect Technologies is planning a funding round to expand from facial redaction products to facial recognition systems for law enforcement agencies to cross-reference with watch lists in real-time and post production, according to BostInno.\n\nThe Cambridge, Massachusetts-based company has raised $500,000 from early investors including Mark Cuban, and counts PatrolEyes, Wolfcom, and Vievu among its current customers. Suspect Technologies facial recognition technology is deployed at the entrance to the Cuban-owned Dallas Mavericks locker room, where it provides team players and staff with personalized information and identifies unauthorized individuals. The company is also piloting its facial recognition technology internationally with a smart camera manufacturer.
