Product Overview

Agave's platform connects project-management and ERP systems used by construction contractors. Its core modules include ERP Sync for bidirectional data synchronization, AP Invoice Automation for AI-driven invoice capture and coding, Expense Management for field receipt capture and auto-coding, and AI Analytics for natural-language reporting dashboards.

The platform supports integrations with systems such as Procore, Autodesk Build, Viewpoint Vista and Spectrum, Sage 100 Contractor and Sage 300 CRE, Foundation, QuickBooks, and others. Agave emphasizes construction-specific workflows such as job costing, cost-code routing, commitment matching, and project-based permissions.

Market Outlook

Construction is a roughly $12 trillion global industry that accounts for about 13 percent of global GDP, but it has historically under-invested in back-office software. Many contractors still rely on systems built 20 to 40 years ago, with data moved manually between applications, creating demand for integration and automation tools.

Labor trends add urgency: the National Center for Construction Education and Research projects that 41 percent of the construction workforce will retire by 2031, while only about one in ten workers is under 25. Agave positions its AI financial-operations platform as a way to capture institutional knowledge and automate workflows as experienced workers leave the industry.

Competitive Advantages

Agave's primary advantage is its library of proprietary two-way integrations across more than fourteen construction ERP and project-management systems, including older on-premise software that lacks public APIs. This depth of connectivity lets Agave's AI agents read from and write back to customer systems rather than operating as read-only overlays.

The team's domain experience also creates a barrier: the founders worked on construction data integrations at Graphiq and Amazon before starting Agave, and the company has spent years learning the data models and edge cases of each supported system. Customers include general and trade contractors ranging from $5 million to $5 billion in revenue.
