Peregrine is Astrobotic's commercial lunar lander for delivering payloads to the Moon under NASA CLPS and commercial contracts.
Peregrine - Research Notes
Peregrine is Astrobotic Technology's commercial lunar lander product line, designed to deliver science instruments, technology demonstrations, and commercial payloads to the lunar surface under NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services program and commercial contracts. It was the first American commercial lunar lander to launch, lifting off on ULA's Vulcan Centaur rocket on January 8, 2024.
Peregrine targets government, academic, and commercial customers as an affordable payload-delivery service to the Moon. Although its inaugural mission suffered a propulsion anomaly that prevented a lunar landing, the lander validates Astrobotic's delivery platform and competes directly with other CLPS landers such as Firefly's Blue Ghost and Intuitive Machines' Nova-C.
