CarboCode produces human-identical sphingolipids and gangliosides using a proprietary integrated technology platform combining fermentation, metabolic engineering, biocatalysis, and chemical synthesis. Unlike literature processes, the technology is designed for industrial scale-up and affordable cost for the food industry.
Initial applications are in infant nutrition, bringing formula closer to breast milk, as well as skincare and cosmetics, adult nutrition, and cognitive health. The company operates a pilot plant and is building an industrial factory targeting 100 tons per year capacity.
