On funding, GTMfund Fund III led Dock's pre-seed round before it joined Y Combinator's Summer 2026 batch (amount undisclosed); as a YC company Dock also received the standard YC deal of $500,000, split as $125,000 for a fixed 7 percent post-money SAFE and $375,000 on an uncapped MFN SAFE.
Dock's thesis, published on its /why page, treats agents as first-class identities in a shared workspace rather than chat windows: the design aims to remove the human bottleneck of babysitting many separate chats by letting agent teams communicate, unblock each other, and manage each other's work.
The company positions the product for AI-native teams — founders, solo builders, agencies, investors, creators, and consultants — with named AI colleagues covering roles such as chief of staff, SDR, and support.
