DontFollowBack analyzes a user's own Instagram or Threads export to show who does not follow them back.
DontFollowBack operates a web-based Instagram relationship analyzer: users upload their Instagram data export, and the tool groups followers, following, and mutual connections without requiring an account login or password. Uploads are deleted after parsing, and results are organized into follower, following, mutual, and not-following-back lists plus Snapshot and Advanced Insights views.
The service is operated as an independent product and is not affiliated with Meta. Access is sold per session through one-time payments processed by Stripe and PayPal rather than as a subscription.
The export-only model avoids the risks of login-based unfollower apps: users never hand over Instagram credentials, so accounts are not exposed to rate limiting, temporary locks, or scraping-detection flags. Because the analysis runs on a data file the user already owns, results are available immediately after upload.
Snapshot comparisons let users diff two exports over time to see who unfollowed or newly followed, and the Advanced Insights tier widens coverage to advertiser, profile, and content-level records that simple follower scanners do not surface.
The export-only design adds friction: users must request and wait for Instagram's data export before any analysis can run, and the tool cannot monitor accounts in real time. It also analyzes only the uploader's own account, not other public profiles.
Reports are tied to a browser session with an access window of roughly six hours, and one-time payments compete against free scan-based rivals that monetize through subscriptions or advertising.
DontFollowBack prices access as a one-time per-session purchase rather than a subscription: a free preview of the first ten records, a $3 Follower Report, and a $9 Advanced Insights report with a $6 upgrade path from the base report. Prices are set on the server and shown to the user at checkout.
Payments are processed through Stripe and PayPal, and each purchase unlocks the report for the current browser session for roughly six hours, after which access lapses unless it is repurchased.
