    La actividad forestal en Las Marías se inicia en la década del ’60, con la implantación de 500 hectáreas de pino y eucaliptos. El material genético utilizado originalmente fue local, básicamente de semilleros seleccionados por el Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Agropecuaria (INTA) y el Instituto Forestal Nacional (IFONA). A partir de la década del ’80, se incorporaron nuevos orígenes con materiales de Estados Unidos, Sudáfrica y Australia, de una mejor calidad genética.

A su vez, realizamos un control activo sobre los contratistas para garantizar el cumplimiento de las normas laborales, en especial el estricto cumplimiento de la prohibición de trabajo de niños y adolescentes. A tal efecto hay responsables con dedicación exclusiva abocados a la supervisión y control de este tema, alineado al Código de Ética de la empresa.

    Nació en Buenos Aires, se crió en Virasoro y se recibió de Licenciada en Comunicación en la Universidad de Rosario. Desde los años noventa empezó como guía de turismo para cubrir una temporada durante un ocupado mes de julio, pero sus vínculos con Las Marías vienen desde mucho antes.
