Global Household Brands (legally HPD Holdings Corp.) was a consumer products company based in Edison, New Jersey, that marketed a portfolio of household cleaning brands sold primarily through food, drug, and mass-merchandise retailers in the United States. Its brands included X-14 Mildew Stain Remover, 2000 Flushes automatic toilet bowl cleaner, NO VAC dry carpet cleaner, and Carpet Fresh room deodorizer and carpet cleaner.
WD-40 Company acquired Global Household Brands in fiscal year 2002 for approximately $4.3 million, adding a suite of household cleaning and odor-control products to complement its core maintenance lubricant business. The acquired brands continued to be sold under their original names following the acquisition and are distributed through the same food, drug, and mass-merchandise retail channels that Global Household Brands originally established.
