Product Overview

Halliburton supplies equipment, services, and software across the life of a reservoir, organized in two reportable segments: Completion and Production, and Drilling and Evaluation. The portfolio spans well construction, well intervention, completions and stimulation, production enhancement, and digital drilling and subsurface software.

Its software estate centers on DecisionSpace 365 and the Landmark application family, delivered increasingly as cloud services with iEnergy as the hybrid-cloud data foundation. Service lines such as hydraulic fracturing and well cementing pair field equipment with digital platforms for automation and monitoring.

Market Outlook

Halliburton's recent contract awards center on international and unconventional gas work, including a multi-year stimulation and completion contract from Aramco for the Jafurah development and a five-year integrated management contract for the Bin Omar and Sindbad fields with Basra Oil Company. In the first quarter of 2026 the company reported revenue of 5.4 billion dollars at a 13 percent operating margin.

On the technology side, the acquisition of Sekal added drilling automation capability, and a collaboration with Shape Digital extends its asset performance management offerings. Leadership appointments, including Casey Maxwell as president of the Western Hemisphere, accompany this international growth focus.

Competitive Advantages

Halliburton operates one of the largest oilfield service networks in the world, with a presence in more than 70 countries and a workforce of more than 45,000 employees. That footprint lets it serve multinational operators and national oil companies across most producing basins from local facilities and laboratories.

The company pairs its field service breadth with in-house technology, including automated fracturing platforms, drilling automation added through the purchase of Sekal, and the Landmark and DecisionSpace 365 software estate. Long-running relationships with customers such as Aramco and Basra Oil Company support recurring contract awards.
