AI chip startup Tenstorrent raises $100 million in convertible-note financing co-led by Hyundai Motor Group and Samsung Catalyst Fund. Hyundai Motor and Kia provide $50 million and plan to jointly develop CPUs and AI co-processors for future mobility vehicles and robots. The remaining $50 million comes from Samsung Catalyst and venture firms, with proceeds supporting product development, AI chiplet design and development, and Tenstorrent’s machine-learning software roadmap.
