Memo

The MISAPOR group, coordinated by MISAPOR Management AG in Zizers, produces about 40,000 tonnes of foamed glass gravel per year. Six locations in Switzerland, Germany, and France supply contractors, engineers, and distributors across the region.

Management includes chief executive Rauh, chief financial officer Michel, and chief production officer Sonder, covering operations, finance, and plant output. The memo records MISAPOR as an operating manufacturer of recycled-glass aggregate with steady regional demand.

Product Overview

MISAPOR sells eight foamed glass gravel lines: STANDARD 10/75, STANDARD PLUS 10/50, DYNAMIC 10/50, XTRA DYNAMIC 10/50, MINI LINE 10/25, SACKWARE 10/25, WALL-BAG, and DRAIN-BAG. Each grade maps to a defined load and insulation class for floors, roads, and roofs.

Applications span sub-base replacement under slabs and roads, perimeter and flat-roof insulation, drainage layers, retaining-wall backfill, and garden and landscape fills. Bagged lines serve small sites and retail buyers, while bulk grades supply major civil engineering works.

Competitive Advantages

MISAPOR builds its aggregate from about 98 percent recycled waste glass, converting surplus container glass into certified construction material. The closed-cell granules weigh roughly one tenth of conventional gravel, lowering transport cost and earth pressure.

The granules are frost-proof, free-draining, non-combustible, and dimensionally stable, combining load replacement, insulation, and drainage in a single layer. Two Swiss plants secure short supply routes and consistent quality for contractors nationwide.
