The service separates lithium isotopes using a proprietary counter-current chromatography and solvent-extraction process, producing enriched lithium-6 and lithium-7 at production scale. Lithium-6 is the tritium-breeding fuel that fusion developers require, while lithium-7 controls coolant chemistry in pressurized-water reactors and serves as a fluoride salt constituent in molten salt reactors.
Chlorine-37 enrichment is offered through the same separation platform for fast-spectrum molten salt reactor designs. Buyers are fusion and fission reactor developers that currently have no domestic commercial-scale source of these enriched materials.
