Northern California National Bank

Northern California National Bank was a community bank based in Chico, California serving local customers with traditional banking products. In March 2021 its shareholders agreed to a 100 percent tender offer from buyers acting for Column, with OCC approval following in June 2021 and the transaction closing later that year.

After closing, the bank was renamed Column National Association while retaining the NorCal Bank DBA, and it publicly launched as Column in April 2022. The charter gave Column its own nationally chartered banking foundation instead of relying on sponsor-bank middleware.
