A dark U.S. equities alternative trading system that matches institutional orders through time-randomized periodic optimization auctions.
OneChronos operates a dark alternative trading system for United States equities that hosts auctions on average 10 to 20 times per second throughout the trading day. Within each auction the venue matches inbound orders to maximize aggregate notional price improvement instead of applying price and time priority, with all matches at or within the national best bid and offer at a single clearing price per symbol.
The venue is fully non-displayed, accepts firm orders over FIX 4.2, and fits existing broker algorithm and routing workflows. Its custom counterparty Nexus rooms, conditional order handling, and Pairs and Single Stock expressive bidding extend the core auction with bilateral liquidity, block sourcing, and atomic multi-security execution.
