Investigational headworn wearable delivering calibrated vestibular stimulation to treat vestibular migraine and chronic vertigo.
The Otolith device is a non-invasive, headworn wearable medical device that delivers the company's patented non-invasive Vestibular Resonance Therapy (nVRT) through precisely calibrated vibrations applied to the vestibular system. It is being developed as a prescription treatment for vestibular migraine and chronic vertigo, and it has received FDA Breakthrough Device designation. The device remains investigational while the company pursues FDA marketing authorization through the De Novo pathway.
It has been studied by more than five hundred participants with no reported serious device-related adverse events, across indications that include vestibular migraine, motion sensitivity, tinnitus, and virtual-reality sickness. Clinical trial registries list the device under the name OtoBand, including the VIBRANT-VM vestibular migraine study.
