Pixlr Express is the lighter of Pixlr's two browser editors, aimed at users who need polished images in minutes rather than a full layered workspace. It covers arranging, adjusting, effects, filters, retouching, drawing, and elements, and it carries the company's generative toolset: a generative assistant that rewrites scenes from prompts, generative fill and expand, generative transform for moving and resizing objects, extract-layers decomposition, backdrop generation, and a suite of restoration tools for noise, blur, and colorization.
The same interface hosts several one-click AI utilities that Pixlr also markets as standalone pages, including background and object removal, super scale upscaling, face swap, and sticker making, each metered in credits. Projects are stored temporarily in the browser cache and exported as Pixlr .PXZ documents or standard image files, and the tool is included in the Plus, Premium, and Ultra subscription tiers alongside the rest of the Pixlr suite.
