Portland Diamond Project (PDP) was founded with the mission to bring Major League Baseball (MLB) to Portland, Oregon. The organization aims to create a vibrant sports and entertainment district that celebrates Portland's rich baseball history, dating back to the 1860s. PDP's primary focus is on acquiring land, such as the RedTail Golf Course, to develop a state-of-the-art stadium and surrounding facilities that will serve as a hub for sports and community events.
Notable figures affiliated with PDP include former MLB players and local business leaders who are passionate about expanding Portland's sports landscape. The project has garnered significant media attention and community support, reflecting its potential impact on the local economy and culture. By negotiating land acquisitions and engaging with city officials, PDP is making strides toward establishing Portland as a premier destination for Major League Baseball.
