Memo

Raygun Limited is a privately held application-monitoring software vendor selling usage-based subscriptions to development teams worldwide. Its catalog spans crash reporting with AI-assisted resolution, real user monitoring and server-side performance tracing, supported by deployment tracking, dashboards and chat integrations.

The business earns the large majority of its revenue from exports and counted more than 30 staff across two offices in 2018, serving brands including Microsoft, Dominos, Coca-Cola and Samsung. It continues to invest in engineering headcount while selling self-serve plans with enterprise controls for larger accounts.

Product Overview

Raygun sells a cloud application-monitoring suite built around crash reporting, real user monitoring and application performance monitoring, extended by AI Error Resolution, deployment tracking, dashboards, customer experience monitoring and alerting. The platform covers web, mobile, desktop and server-side code with native integrations for GitHub, Jira, Slack and Microsoft Teams.

The service has processed more than 50 billion errors for over 100,000 developers in more than 120 countries, reporting code-level diagnostics with environment context and user impact. Raygun meets enterprise security expectations with HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA and PCI compliance, 256-bit encrypted transport and single sign-on controls.

Pricing Strategy

Raygun sells usage-based subscriptions priced separately per product and metered by reserved monthly error volume rather than seats. Crash Reporting starts at $40 per 100,000 errors per month on annual billing ($60 month-to-month), stepping through Team at $80 for 200,000 errors and Business at $400 for one million errors to a custom Enterprise tier, with annual plans saving roughly 33% over monthly.

Real User Monitoring starts at $80 per 100,000 events per month annually ($120 monthly), and extra consumption beyond reserved volume bills on demand at $0.001 per error. Every plan begins with a free 14-day trial, while upper tiers add single sign-on, service-level commitments, dedicated support and invoiced billing.
