Larger seaglider planned for high-capacity coastal routes carrying 50 to 100 passengers.
Monarch is REGENT's second, larger seaglider platform, sized for high-density coastal routes that the twelve-passenger Viceroy cannot serve economically. The company specifies 100 passengers, a 22,000-pound payload, a 160 mph cruise and a 400-mile range, and describes entry into service at the end of the decade.
It uses the same float-foil-fly ground-effect operating profile and the same maritime certification pathway as the Viceroy. REGENT named UME Shipping as the first delivery customer for Monarch in an October 2024 announcement.
