Rubrik announces Rubrik Apache Iceberg Protection, a backup and recovery capability for Apache Iceberg tables on AWS. It copies table metadata as well as data files, enabling recovery to re-register tables in the AWS Glue Data Catalog or S3 Tables and make them queryable in Athena, Spark or Trino. The service supports immutable backups in customers’ AWS accounts or Rubrik Cloud Vault and will be generally available later this month.
