Selix - Research Notes

  • Selix is positioned as an end-to-end outbound agent rather than a point tool. Prospect research, list building, verification, personalization, sending infrastructure, and campaign optimisation sit in one product instead of being assembled from several connected applications.

SellScale emphasises conversational control and persistent memory: the agent keeps context about a customer's ideal customer profile and past campaigns, proposes a new angle when messaging underperforms, and is operated from a chat surface rather than a configuration dashboard. Pricing is framed around pipeline outcomes rather than seats or email volume.

  • SellScale introduced Selix in August 2024 as an end-to-end agent for prospecting, then developed it with design partners before announcing the standalone Selix product surface at selix.ai in April 2026. The offering became the company's principal product as SellScale moved from outreach tooling to an agent that runs outbound.

SellScale itself was founded in 2022 by Ishan Sharma and Aakash Adesara, who met in high school and were roommates at UC Berkeley, and it raised a seed round that year for AI-assisted sales outreach. The company later added a Slack-based way to work with Selix and published its agent architecture in public posts.

  • Demand in outbound sales technology is moving from assistant software that a salesperson operates toward agents that execute work with limited supervision. SellScale argues the limiting factor is not the number of available tools but the human attention required to configure and run them.

The company positions Selix for organisations that want an outbound motion without hiring and training a sales development team, and it sells to founders, operations leads, and revenue teams at growth-stage technology companies with established contract values. Its public materials frame outbound pipeline generation as the single function the agent owns.

  • Selix is SellScale's AI sales agent for business-to-business outbound. Users describe a target market, an event, or a campaign idea in Slack, email, or the in-app workspace, and the agent responds with a proposed plan, prospect lists, and outreach drafts for review before anything is sent.

The agent covers the outbound workflow end to end: prospect research, list building and enrichment, message personalization, multi-channel email and LinkedIn sending, follow-up, and meeting booking. It is sold both as self-managed software with usage-based sending and as a managed service in which SellScale runs campaigns for the customer.
