Shiperise began from the observation that finished-goods inventory ties up the cash that growing sustainable brands need. It buys that stock outright, paying brands up front and absorbing the storage, logistics and resale, then returns the goods to the market through a network of professional buyers and distributors. Holding the inventory on its own balance sheet also lets it issue asset-backed investment products to professional investors.
Shiperise finances inventory itself rather than advancing against a brand's receivables, which separates it from the bank credit lines, invoice financiers and revenue-based lenders a brand would otherwise turn to, and it takes ownership of the stock rather than a security interest in it. Its customer is a specific one: small and mid-sized sustainable and circular consumer brands for whom stock is the binding constraint on growth, together with the professional investors who fund that stock.
