ARS is an augmented reality mapping system for airborne law enforcement, fire, and rescue missions.
SHOTOVER ARS is an augmented-reality mission-mapping system that overlays live map data and symbology on full-motion video for airborne operators. Deployed across more than 2,000 aircraft on six continents, it runs on current-generation ARS-750 hardware built on the ATOM 2 mission computer and is gimbal-agnostic across rotary-wing, fixed-wing, and unmanned platforms, serving law enforcement, fire, search-and-rescue, broadcast, military, and utility operators.
ARS was developed by Churchill Navigation beginning in 2006 and released to market in 2010 after Denver Police Department operational testing. SHOTOVER Systems, formed through Churchill Navigation's August 2020 acquisition of SHOTOVER Camera Systems, continues the ARS line with lifetime software and map updates and no-fee support.
