Smack's buyer-facing offerings are the Omega command-level suite and the Alpha edge suite. Omega runs on operations-center desktops, fusing multimodal data into campaign plans and updates across fires, intelligence, sustainment, information, and force protection.
Alpha extends the same reasoning to frontline units with lightweight models and dedicated hardware, including tablets and body-worn displays that can operate without persistent cloud connectivity. Cage and Diet Cage models sit under those suites rather than as separate commercial products.
Smack trains models in a proprietary reinforcement-learning environment that encodes the physics, resource constraints, and operator judgment of warfare. That approach is designed for compute-constrained, disconnected environments where commercial language models cannot reliably plan munitions, sensors, and effectors in time and space.
The founding team includes former MARSOC operators who have used the current planning tools in combat. Combined with an API-first, MOSA-based integration style, the company can sell both command-center software and wearable edge hardware as one decision stack.
Alpha hardware is still early, with the company targeting a small number of wearable prototypes rather than a fielded inventory. That leaves Smack dependent on software contracts and third-party platforms until its own edge devices are produced and accredited.
The company also competes in a crowded defense-AI market against larger software primes and well-funded autonomy firms. Because its models are purpose-built for U.S. and allied warfighting, commercial reuse outside national security is limited.
