Three-bladed single-rotor unmanned helicopter with patented twin transmission for operators.
Velos V3 is a 25 kg Group II unmanned helicopter with a single-rotor layout, three-bladed main and tail rotors, a carbon-fiber fuselage with forward and aft canopy covers, three-leg landing gear, and four 48VDC lithium-polymer battery packs. Its patented twin-transmission drivetrain isolates a failed motor, ESC, belt, gear, bearing, main battery, or servo and continues to a landing, with critical components operating at half of maximum capacity.
Payloads mount on a 55 cm rail with M4 threaded points every 40 mm and above the main rotor on the center-of-gravity axis for GNSS antennas, sensors, or a parachute. Integration runs through a CubePilot OrangeCube flight controller compatible with Mission Planner and UgCS, commanded from a laptop with RC unit or rugged ground station over 850-900 MHz, 1.4 GHz, 2.4 GHz, and 5.8 GHz links with LTE, 5G, and satellite options.
