VMware Workspace ONE is a unified endpoint management platform integrating mobile device management and application delivery.
VMware Workspace ONE is a digital workspace platform that combined mobile device management, application delivery, and single sign-on into a single identity-driven experience across desktop and mobile endpoints. It grew out of VMware's 2014 acquisition of AirWatch and was positioned as a comprehensive alternative to lightweight mobile management approaches.
VMware Workspace ONE represented the traditional full mobile device management category that OneLogin distinguished its container-based Sphere Secure Workspace acquisition from in 2016. Broadcom acquired VMware in 2023 and the endpoint management business was later spun out as Omnissa.
