HLAL is an exchange-traded fund managed by Wahed Invest that tracks the FTSE Shariah USA Index and gives investors exposure to large-cap US equities that pass Shariah screens for compliance with Islamic finance principles. The fund excludes companies involved in interest-based lending, alcohol, gambling, pork, conventional insurance, and other industries prohibited under Islamic law and is screened by an independent Shariah supervisory board.

HLAL trades on Nasdaq under the ticker HLAL and is one of three Wahed-managed ETFs alongside UMMA, which provides international Shariah-compliant equity exposure, and KWIN, a Shariah-screened alternative income fund. The product gives retail and institutional buyers a low-cost vehicle to add halal US equity exposure to brokerage accounts outside the Wahed advisory platform.
