Market Outlook

Workable is positioning its platform for an agentic AI future in which recruiting agents handle sourcing, screening, and engagement while recruiters focus on judgment and relationships. Its Workable Agent and MCP server reflect a bet that HR software will be operated increasingly by AI assistants.

The company competes in the crowded ATS and HRIS market against Greenhouse, Lever, BambooHR, and others, and is expanding through partnerships such as its IBM watsonx Orchestrate listing and LinkedIn Platinum Partner status.

Competitive Advantages

Workable combines an AI recruiting agent, a full applicant tracking system, and HR information system features in one subscription platform, reducing the need for separate recruiting and HR tools. It is an Indeed Platinum and LinkedIn Preferred Partner, offering deep integrations that boost job visibility and candidate flow.

The platform supports over 270 integrations, open APIs, and an MCP server, letting customers connect their existing tools and even let their own AI agents operate Workable. A mobile app and compliance automation for GDPR, EEO, and CCPA round out the offering.

Pricing Strategy

Workable sells subscription plans on a per-employee tier model, with public list prices for Standard, Premier, and Enterprise plans. Add-ons include texting, video interviews, assessments, performance reviews, and Workable Agent credits.

Workable Agent runs on a credit model where one credit covers one candidate processed by the agent, with paid accounts starting with 1,000 free credits. Enterprise customers can also request custom credit bundles.
