Digital financial platform for small businesses in Mexico and Chile, spanning working-capital financing, payments, and cash management.
Xepelin gives small and medium businesses a single digital platform for financing and day-to-day financial management. Its financing products include invoice advance and factoring, working-capital and simple credit lines, supplier and cross-border payments, and confirming.
Alongside lending, the platform centralizes collections, supplier payments, and cash-flow analysis, and bundles them in a suite that automates reconciliation. The company serves businesses in Mexico and Chile and reports more than 80,000 companies operating on the platform.
Mexico is Xepelin's largest market, with a small-business base of roughly 30 million companies and limited access to traditional credit. Chile adds a market of about 1.2 million firms, most of them small, that generate close to half of national employment.
The company has targeted continued expansion in Latin American business finance and payment services, a category it has estimated at several trillion dollars, and aims to become a leading digital bank for small and medium businesses in the region. A lower valuation on its most recent financing reflects the tighter funding environment for Latin American fintechs.
Xepelin positions itself as a digital chief financial officer for small businesses, combining financing with software that shows cash flow, invoices, and payments in real time. Credit decisions draw on tax-authority and public data and are made online, which shortens approval times compared with a traditional bank.
The company embeds financing inside the tools businesses already use to manage invoices and suppliers, so a working-capital line can be drawn in a few steps and funded quickly. That combination of lending and financial-management software, rather than a standalone loan product, is its main differentiator in the region.
