The NASA Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) program is part of America's Seed Fund, providing early-stage non-dilutive funding for innovative technologies. This initiative supports entrepreneurs, startups, and small businesses in developing cutting-edge solutions for NASA's space technology challenges. The program offers funding opportunities through various phases, including Phase I, Phase II, and Post Phase II, as well as specialized tracks like SBIR Ignite and I-Corps.

NASA's SBIR/STTR program plays a crucial role in fostering innovation and technological advancement in the space sector. By bridging the gap between research and commercialization, it enables small businesses to contribute to NASA's missions while developing technologies with potential commercial applications. The program's impact extends beyond space exploration, driving economic growth and technological progress across various industries.
