Assure provided outsourced CFO and fund-administration services to venture capital and private equity funds. Its fund-administration team formed a new firm and rebranded as Cornerstone Fund Services to distinguish its services from Assure. Assure retained outsourced investor relations, equity crowdfunding and limited partner advisory services.
Assure administered special purpose vehicles for investment managers at prices competitive with other providers. Its administration model depended on a steady flow of new clients, and new-client demand slowed as investors lost appetite for SPVs. It shut down at the end of 2022.
