BayStar Capital is a private equity cross-over fund that makes direct equity investments in private and publicly traded growth companies. Founded in December 1998, BayStar has invested over $250 million in more than 40 companies, with typical transactions ranging from $1 million to $25 million.
BayStar will invest in growth, mezzanine, IPO, and post-IPO stages in the technology and life sciences industries. Past and current portfolio companies include: Commerce One, Interpacket, eFusion, SbaSoft, beenz.com, essential.com and Global Light Telecommunications.
