Seattle-based Kanu AI raises $11.7 million to expand its platform for turning employee tasks into custom enterprise software. Trilogy Equity Partners leads the round, joined by a16z speedrun, BMW i Ventures, and Accel; the company says its platform runs inside clients’ cloud infrastructure and serves enterprises in commercial real estate, insurance, financial services, and technology. In one national-customer deployment, Kanu says it reduces a data-analysis process spanning PDFs, email, CRM, and GIS from eight weeks to under 10 minutes.
BMW i Ventures launches a $300 million fund focused on AI and technologies shaping the automotive industry. The fund targets early-stage through Series B startups in North America and Europe working on agentic and physical AI, industrial software, advanced materials, manufacturing, and supply chains, bringing the firm’s total capital under management to $1.1 billion. The firm has not made investments from the new fund yet, while its second fund has backed more than 35 companies, including AI-focused startups.
