Redwood City-based Aseon Labs raises $10 million in seed funding to build movable, parking-space-sized pods that inspect, clean, and charge robotaxis around cities. Led by Crane Venture Partners, the round includes Y Combinator, Expa, Robin Hood Ventures, and Founders Capital, among others. Aseon plans to use the funds to build five prototypes, expand its six-person team to about 12, and secure sites; it has not signed robotaxi contracts.
Deta launches Surf in beta as a browser and research tool for creating editable notebooks on different topics. Users can summarize and extract insights from webpages, PDFs, and YouTube videos, ask questions using multiple tabs as context, and generate code for mini apps, graphs, and charts. The app is free and keeps notebook data locally for offline use; Deta is working on image generation and may add a paid subscription.
