Abdul Khan is Senior Director, Biologics, at Deerfield Discovery and Development and joined the Firm in 2022. He previously held roles at Molecular Templates and Tri-Institutional Therapeutics Discovery Institute (Tri-I TDI).

Avi Kometz is a Partner on Deerfield’s Medical Technologies team and joined the Firm in 2014. Before Deerfield, he was a partner at Ascent Biomedical Ventures, led investment efforts, and headed corporate development at a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on pediatrics.
