They have a proven track record of sourcing exceptional investment opportunities, facilitating strategic joint ventures, and working closely with their clients, partners, and affiliates to identify exceptional China-centric opportunities not only in mainland and Greater China, but also in the United States and Southeast Asia.
Their investment approach and philosophy have always been to focus on early-stage investing in exceptional people/management teams, applications, and businesses based on core, defensible technologies, and China-centric opportunities with clearly defined exit strategies. DragonFund I (2000), DragonVenture’s original fund achieved considerable success and acclaim for its investors and limited partners. The success of DragonFund I and their significant experiences and early investor track record in China ultimately led to the establishment of a strategic partnership with Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ) Global Network through the formation of DFJ Dragon (DFJD), which subsequently established DFJ DragonFund I (2006) and DFJ DragonFund II (2012).
