These start-ups are globally scalable, have high growth potential, address large markets, have strong competitive advantages, clear IP ownership, and entrepreneurial management. MAIN is committed to gender lens investing, and actively seeks to support female founded startups, launching an impact investment fund to catalyse more private capital into these founders.

MAIN assesses investment opportunities against the following criteria: (a) Quality Founders and Team (b) Exciting Market Opportunity / Building a Solution to Identifiable Pain Point (c) Scalable / Growth Potential (d) Competitive Advantage / Defensibility (e) Evidence of Early Stage Income / Customer Sales Traction / Roadmap (f) Credible Ask / Use of Proceeds / Budget (g) Realistic, Aligned Exit Strategy As an investor in early stage companies, primary focus will be on the quality of your team and robustness of the product on offer. MAIN expects you to have developed a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), from which you have generated a reasonable amount of traction (product build, clients, revenues, or users) that gives confidence that product/market fit has been found.
