Oxide Computer raises $445 million in a Series D led by returning backer Eclipse Capital to expand manufacturing capacity. Its rack combines computing, storage, and networking in a pre-integrated package with 24 sleds, each powered by an AMD CPU, alongside features for network reliability, data redundancy, and power management. Oxide says it has scaled manufacturing capacity 20-fold over the past 12 months but still faces demand beyond supply, and plans to develop a sled that can host a graphics card.
Parallel Systems raises a $100 million Series C to scale its autonomous, battery-powered Panther freight vehicles and accelerate commercial rollout. Founded in 2020 by former SpaceX rocket-avionics designers, the company says its vehicles can move several tons of freight up to 500 miles, independently or in short platoons, and split up at rail yards without human intervention. The vehicles have operated on 160 miles of track near Savannah while the company verifies safety controls ahead of its first commercial payload.
