StartX is a nonprofit startup accelerator operating from Stanford Research Park in Palo Alto, California. Founded in 2010 by Cameron Teitelman, it accepts teams with at least one Stanford-affiliated founder and charges no equity and no fees, sustained by an institutional commitment of $200 million combined from Stanford University and Stanford Health Care.
The program offers a 12-week full-time accelerator track, a student fellowship, and specialized verticals in AI and medical biotechnology. As of 2025, the StartX community encompasses over 3,000 founders and 1,300 companies with a combined portfolio valuation exceeding $200 billion, including more than 20 unicorn companies.
