The Core Venture Studio was an Atlanta-based investment firm and venture studio founded in 2014 by James Harris, Anthony Gee, Guy Primus, and Chidi Afulezi. The firm backed early-stage technology companies and developed entrepreneurial real estate environments across Atlanta. It launched Collider, a coworking space in Tech Square that attracted startups including Partpic, Kanga, and Luma, and participated in the Seed funding round for Herb'N Eden.
The firm's real estate portfolio included Pittsburgh Yards, developed through Columbia Core Partners with support from the Annie E Casey Foundation, as well as 1331 Metropolitan Parkway SW and Koncept House in Castleberry Hill. Over half of the companies in Core-led entrepreneurial environments were women-led and thirty percent were African-American led. The Core Venture Studio is now inactive.
