N.XT Fund is the proof-of-concept investment program of Northwestern University's Innovation and New Ventures Office. It makes pre-seed and seed investments in faculty-initiated ventures built on University-owned intellectual property, sized against proposed technical milestones and structured as SAFE notes.

The fund solicits applications from eligible Northwestern startups each spring and selects a small group of finalists to pitch its Investment Committee, which includes outside investors and industry experts. Its portfolio spans therapeutics, materials, and software ventures, and it invests without sector preference.
