The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine offers an LCME-accredited MD program in Iowa City.
The MD Program at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine is the only LCME-accredited allopathic medical school in the state of Iowa. It educates more than 600 medical students in an atmosphere of scholarship, humanism, and mutual respect, supported by over 850 full-time faculty.
Students gain training across basic and clinical sciences alongside associated medical sciences students, residents, fellows, and graduate students in a range of specialties and sub-specialties. The program prepares physicians to manage evolving scientific and technological information in clinical practice.
