Constella Intelligence, formerly 4iQ, provides identity risk intelligence and digital risk protection software.
The core of the 4iQ platform was IDLake, an archive of more than 45 billion identity records collected from data breaches and open sources across the surface, deep, and dark web. IDLake powered two main products aimed at investigators and enterprises.
IDHunt helped fraud and cybercrime investigators analyze pseudonyms, enrich them with other datasets, and unmask adversaries, while IDTheft delivered real-time alerts of stolen credentials and personal information to support identity-theft protection and account-takeover prevention.
4iQ operated in the digital risk protection and identity threat intelligence market, serving financial services, healthcare, government, cryptocurrency exchange, and security-provider customers. Demand was driven by the continual proliferation of stolen credentials and exposed personal information on criminal markets.
Ahead of its December 2020 merger with Alto Analytics, 4iQ positioned itself as a leader in digital risk protection. The combined business continued under the Constella Intelligence brand to address account takeover, session hijacking, and ransomware threats.
The main advantage of 4iQ was the scale of its identity data, with IDLake archiving tens of billions of identity records and over one hundred billion attributes drawn from breaches and leaks across the surface, deep, and dark web. That breadth allowed analysts to link exposed credentials back to real people.
The company paired its data lake with open-source intelligence tooling and human analyst expertise, positioning the platform for fraud investigation units, financial-crime intelligence teams, and advanced security operations centers that needed to attribute adversaries.
