What Dealroom is
Dealroom is a private company intelligence platform from Dealroom.co, founded in Amsterdam in 2013 by Yoram Wijngaarde, its CEO. The company is based in Amsterdam.
Its main product is a paid platform sold as Premium, Premium Plus, and Enterprise plans, with the Dealroom API and the Ecosystems Network sold separately. Company profiles show cap tables, funding rounds, valuation and revenue estimates, and key people. Search covers investors, deals, sectors, and locations. Signals flag companies gaining momentum and hot sectors, and a newsfeed tracks the market. Alerts, search, and bulk export need a paid plan. Public company and investor profiles, market maps, and reports are free to read without an account.
Buyers include early-stage VC, late-stage VC and PE, enterprises, governments, ecosystem developers, startups, and universities. Ecosystems Network serves governments and agencies that measure local tech ecosystems. Integrations include Salesforce, Affinity, HubSpot, Attio, Slack, Zapier, and Snowflake. A REST API is available on request through a demo, and a hosted, read-only MCP server works in Claude, Cursor, Codex, and other clients, in beta for Premium plans.
Dealroom does three things well.
- Cap tables, funding rounds, and valuation and revenue estimates on one company profile.
- European coverage. Dealroom calls itself the strongest platform for Europe, naming the UK, the Nordics, DACH, and Southern Europe.
- Public pricing. Premium costs €250 per seat a month and Premium Plus €325 per seat a month, both billed annually, with a 3-day free trial that needs no card. Enterprise is by custom quote.

How to switch from Dealroom to aVenture
- Check your most-opened companies first. Open each one on aVenture and request coverage for any gap. Coverage requests are free at request company coverage and need only the company's website; no account is required.
- Match a list by website with the CLI.
aventure entities lookup-matches --url a.com b.com c.com returns one row per website, in your order, marked MATCHED, AMBIGUOUS, or MISSING. Each matched row uses one profile view.
- Match a long list by name with a bulk lookup job. On AI Plus or AI Pro, a bulk lookup job identifies the companies on a long list by name. Each comes back
MATCHED, NEEDS_REVIEW with ranked candidates, or NO_MATCH. MISSING and NO_MATCH rows can go to a research update or a coverage request.
- Rebuild your saved searches as saved views. Saved views keep directory filters, sort, and columns. Saved views need AI Plus or AI Pro.
- Rebuild your lists as saved lists. Saved lists hold companies, investors, and people, and you can add companies from the directory in bulk. Saved lists need AI Plus or AI Pro.
- Set up news alerts. News alerts send in-app notifications or a signed webhook and are free on every plan.
- Connect Claude or ChatGPT through the MCP server. The MCP server and CLI bring the same data into Claude, ChatGPT, and the terminal, with the same sign-in and the same plan allowances.

What does not carry over
Moving from Dealroom means accepting these limits.
- Bulk export does not carry over. aVenture has no CSV upload, no bulk export, and no monthly export allowance. Its terms keep results inside aVenture: copying results into another database needs an Enterprise agreement. Showing live results in your own app, credited to aVenture and cached up to 24 hours, is allowed on any plan.
- European depth is thinner today. Outside the US, coverage is still growing, so some companies in Europe, Asia, and Latin America have thinner profiles today. Check your most-opened European companies first.
- Funding round alerts do not exist yet. News alerts send in-app notifications or a signed webhook and are free on every plan.
- aVenture has no fund performance, LP commitment, or fund-return data, no public-company filings or earnings-call transcripts, and no stock tickers.
