A good directory query takes real work to build. You narrow to a few investment stages, set a headquarters region, pick an ownership type, sort the table the way you read it, and hide the columns you never use. Next week, when you want the same cut of the market, none of it is waiting for you. Rebuilding the query from memory is where research time quietly goes.
Saved views on the aVenture companies directory end that rebuild loop. When you are signed in, the directory toolbar carries a Views control next to Lists and Sort. Open it, and the Saved views panel states its job plainly: apply a saved set of filters, sorting, and columns.

What a saved view captures
A saved view is the full state of the directory, not a bookmark to the page:
- Filters. Every selection from the filter sidebar: investment stage, headquarters country, state, and city, accelerator and batch, operating status, tags, customer, ownership, and revenue types, funding history ranges, year founded, and employee count.
- Search text. Whatever you have typed into the directory search box is part of the query, so it is part of the view.
- Sorting. The active sort, whether you set it from the Sort menu or from a sortable column header like Founded or Last Update.
- Layout. Which columns are visible, and the page size you were working with.
To save one, build the query the way you normally would, open Views, give it a name, and click Save view. The view is stored on your account.
Name the current filters, sorting, and column layout to keep them as a view.
Coming back to a view, and keeping it current
Open Views again and every saved view is listed by name with four actions:
- Apply restores the view in one click. The filters, search text, sort, and columns are written back into the directory, and the results reload from the first page.
- Update filters rewrites the view with whatever the directory currently shows. Views are meant to drift with your thinking: refine the query, then fold the refinement back into the saved view instead of starting over.
- Rename and Delete handle the bookkeeping. Delete asks for a confirmation before anything is removed.
One boundary is worth stating. A saved view remembers the question; it does not pin the answer set. Because the view stores the query rather than a frozen list of companies, applying it next month runs the search against the current record, and companies that newly match your criteria appear on their own. When you want the opposite, a fixed set of specific companies you picked by hand, that is what saved lists are for, and the Lists control sits next to Views for exactly that reason.
Each saved view can be applied, updated in place, renamed, or deleted from the same panel.
