Aerofuse began as AeroFuse, founded to explore air-breathing fusion propulsion concepts, and the company rebranded from AeroFuse to Eos Atomics as it launched a Neutral Beam Injection technology line. Eos Atomics sells neutral beam injection technology that provides the plasma heating required for break-even fusion power. The company also designs, builds, and operates Neutral Particle Beam systems for directed energy applications.

Eos Atomics positions its medium energy NBI systems as filling a gap between low-energy positive ion beams and ultra-high-energy systems, addressing a shared bottleneck for magnetic-fusion companies that need neutral beam injection far smaller, cheaper, and more electrically efficient than legacy systems. The company is developing a modular RF ion source architecture that supports steady-state operation and rapid component replacement.
