AGOMAGOM Seismic Protection

AGOM's seismic protection line applies isolation design, which reduces the seismic energy transferred into a structure rather than relying on structural ductility. E-Safe antiseismic elastomeric devices are installed between the base of a structure and its foundations and include HDRB bearings built from dissipative rubber layers with reinforcing steel plates, and LRB bearings whose lead core provides damping during extreme movements. Both are manufactured in rectangular or circular shapes to customer requirements and transfer horizontal loads through steel bars or screwed plates.

The H-Safe antiseismic hydraulic devices use a piston moving in silicone fluid, with the response governed by velocity. VD viscous dampers act as force control devices, dissipating energy and reducing forces and vibrations, while STU shock transmission units act as displacement control devices, stopping fast movement and shifting the structure's connection scheme from static to dynamic condition. The reference European standard for the devices is EN 15129.
