Dominik Asam, 53, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Airbus, has decided to leave the Company beginning of March 2023 after almost four years in the position to pursue a new opportunity as Chief Financial Officer of SAP, the market leader in enterprise application software.

A group of aerospace technology companies have announced the formation of a collaborative consortium to develop hybrid-electric and water-enhanced turbofan technology for future aircraft propulsion systems, supported by the European Union Clean Aviation Joint Undertaking (Clean Aviation).

AirAsia co-founder Tony Fernandes says the carrier remains financially sustainable and plans to grow despite higher fuel costs and geopolitical uncertainty. He says the airline’s planned fundraising is $1 billion, aimed primarily at refinancing and debt restructuring rather than covering operational shortfalls, as fuel expenses rose 58% year over year.
