AMIC Forging produces open-die forgings and precision-machined components from carbon, alloy, stainless and nickel steels, heat-treating parts to AISI, BS, IS and DIN specifications. It built the business on bringing forging, machining and design under one roof, an integration the company says cuts cost and lead time, and it machines finished engineering spares such as gear couplings, flanges and rings to customer drawings.
Its product focus is custom heavy-section forging rather than standard stock: shafts, axles, wheel blanks, punched discs, rings, flanges and blocks turned out in high and low carbon, alloy, stainless and other special steels, with shaft forgings up to seven metres long and six tonnes. The parts go to heavy engineering, steel, oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical, refinery, thermal, nuclear and hydro power, cement and sugar producers, who order to drawing and specification.
